They’ll be the ones that combine technological excellence with exceptional human judgment. For more than a decade, I’ve helped organisations bridge that gap—leading design teams, scaling AI adoption and transforming the way products, people and organisations evolve together. Because technology changes companies. People change industries. Therefore today, my work is guided by one question:

Design isn’t about making products look better. It’s about helping people make better decisions—whether they’re customers, employees or leaders. When combined with strategy, technology and behavioural insight, design becomes a business capability that accelerates adoption, reduces complexity and creates sustainable competitive advantage. Next to this, I appreciate beauty and aesthetics in all its forms, which influences my work substantially.

My leadership style is inspirational and progress-focused, shaped by years of coaching in sport. The greatest reward has been watching former athletes and mentees grow into successful leaders, entrepreneurs, doctors, designers and creatives. It reinforced a belief that still guides me today: my role isn’t to have the best ideas—it’s to help others produce their best thinking.
I help people build judgment. Rather than applying textbook frameworks, I adapt my approach to every individual and challenge, combining strategic questioning, systems thinking and visual communication to turn complexity into clarity that scales.

My fascination with AI began during my sports science studies, where biomechanics, psychology, robotics and performance analytics first revealed the potential of intelligent systems.

With composure and systems thinking. Start first, then lead. Work backwards from a clear vision, breaking ambitious goals into achievable steps.
Leadership often feels like running at the front of a marathon. There is no one in front of you to find orientation—you have to find and sustain the route yourself. That’s why I believe in getting my hands dirty early. Exploring a problem firsthand reveals risks sooner, creates better judgment and allows organisations to focus their energy where it has the greatest chance of success.
I’ve also learned that action is the best antidote to rumination and imposter syndrome. Progress builds confidence. Simplicity doesn’t come from cutting corners—it comes from deeply understanding complexity. That requires discipline, consistency, patience and the willingness to learn through failure.

Uncertainty rarely disappears through more analysis. It disappears through shared understanding. I create clarity by making assumptions explicit and applied “thinking in writing”—first defining the problem, then exploring multiple solution pathways. I’ve found that the more viable options teams can see, the more confident they become in taking thoughtful risks and innovating. The real challenge is balancing exploration with decisive action, avoiding both decision fatigue and overconfidence.

Healthy disagreement drives better decisions, innovation and progress. Yet I believe we’re gradually losing the ability to debate constructively, making it one of leadership’s greatest challenges.
My first step is always diagnosis: Is this a task, process or relationship issue? From there, I focus on building a shared sense of coherence—helping people understand what we’re trying to achieve, why it matters and how we’ll get there. Once those questions are answered, disagreement becomes a source of better decisions rather than conflict.

Whether painting, swimming, surfing or simply being by the water, I’ve found that my clearest thinking happens when my mind has space to wander. The strongest ideas rarely emerge from thinking harder about the same problem. They emerge where different disciplines, experiences and perspectives meet.
The ocean reminds me that progress can’t always be forced. You learn to read conditions instead of resisting them, adapt instead of control, and trust your judgment when the next wave arrives. Innovation works much the same way.
